Yoga Classes and Retreats
At Nethy House, we offer weekly yoga classes, as well as taught retreats throughout the year. Whether you're a beginner or a practiced yogi, there is an option for everyone.

Our resident teacher (and café co-owner!) Angie, has taught yoga for over 10 years. She originally qualified as an Ashtanga teacher before completing her Vinyasa training (in Zanzibar!) two years later. Since then, Angie has trained in Menopause Yoga and done many CPD trainings. She is a qualified senior teacher and has taught for some wonderful studios in Edinburgh over the years.
"I would like to think that I teach from the heart with warmth and compassion and feel strongly that yoga is for EVERYBODY. My own yoga practice, both on and off the mat, is continually evolving and I feel incredibly lucky to teach what I love."

What We Offer
Evening Classes
We offer twice-weekly classes, typically held on a Tuesday and Wednesday Evening:

Gentle Flow. A welcoming, beginner-friendly class focusing on foundational poses, gentle flow and building confidence. Ideal if you’re new to yoga, returning after a break, or looking for a slower-paced practice.

Ashtanga. A stronger, more dynamic class for those with yoga experience, offering greater challenge while still emphasising breath, alignment and mindful movement.

Yoga Retreats
Alongside our weekly classes, we host yoga retreats throughout the year, with details shared via our social media channels. These retreats offer space to step away from everyday routines and immerse yourself in yoga, good food and time outdoors.

Bespoke Retreats and Private Classes
With five guest rooms, Nethy House is well suited to small group retreats and private bookings. We’re happy to work with teachers, groups or individuals to create bespoke yoga retreats or private classes.

Yoga at Nethy House sits naturally alongside everything else we offer — walking from the door, cycling quiet roads, forest trails, good food and warm spaces to return to.
